Is it just some of the parts? If so which ones? Will it cover the cost of an engineer visit or will that need to be paid for separately?

These can be more comprehensive in that will usually be all inclusive and cover parts and service for the duration of the agreement. Although you will need to ask what will happen if the machine becomes beyond economical repair. Will they replace it or just cover part of the cost, and is there an excess that will need to be paid?
Many of these agreements will also cover accidental damage, most people have left something in the pocket of a garment, and this could damage the machine and would not normally be covered under your statutory rights, another thing to find out beforehand. This is an area where you will need to do your research.
In a world where we are more and more aware of environmental issues and being ‘green’ most people now consider it just as important to purchase an energy efficient model as a feature as any other. Even this is just to keep the electricity bill down.
